TAILS OF LOVE CREATIVITY CONTEST FOR KIDS

Calling all Monmouth County first, second and third graders!

Have you ever helped an animal in need of love, food, shelter, or medical care? Do you love your pet(s) or an animal you’ve helped so much that you’d like to share a story or drawing about your friend(s)? If the answer is yes the Purr’n Pooch Foundation for Animals would love to hear all about it! We’re looking for creative stories and/or drawings from outstanding children who love animals. Eight submissions will be chosen and the winners will work together to create an original animated cartoon at Small Factory Productions, a TV and Music Production Studio for Kids, located in Fair Haven, NJ.

The cartoon will be based on the Purr’n Pooch Foundation for Animals’ mission to support the work of non-profit rescue groups that work tirelessly to save the lives of animals. Cartoons will be posted on the Foundation’s website and premiered at the Purr’n Pooch for Animals’ “Paws” for a Cause Day, co-hosted by Paws & Pose Boutique, at Pier Village in Long Branch, NJ on June 2, 2012. All winners will receive a complimentary DVD copy of their cartoon.

Stories and Drawings of Animals and Pets Wanted

We are seeking original media created by kids! Entries should be sized no larger than 8.5” x 11” and will be accepted in all forms of media: pencil, crayon, paint, marker, computer-generated… the sky’s the limit!

A panel of judges, representing the Purr’n Pooch Foundation for Animals and Small Factory Productions, will review all entries. Winners will be notified by April 26 and the SFP workshop will be May 5 and May 12 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
